The Canisius College Division of Institutional Advancement presented Dennis L. Misko ’67 with the George M. Martin Advancement Award on Thursday, July 30 during the division’s recognition dinner. The award annually recognizes an individual’s extraordinary contributions to the division.

Misko is the director of external projects and a major gift officer at Canisius. He is responsible for working on StartUP-NY, real estate, and other special projects for the college, as well as a member of the team responsible for long-term philanthropic relationships with donors and prospective donors. Previously, Misko served as director of special gifts and athletic advancement until he was promoted to his current positions in 2014. Misko was also a member the men’s basketball team and wore number 44 for the Griffs.

Misko holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Canisius College.
