The Permanent Chair of Polish Culture at Canisius College is proud to sponsor the 8th Annual Polish Film Festival, November 13 through November 18 in the Montante Cultural Center.

Each film will be featured in Polish and will have English subtitles. A specific schedule of each film date and corresponding time is listed below:

  • Thursday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. – IDA (80’, 2013). Dir. Paweł Pawlikowski. Preceded by a short animation THE SHADOW FOREST (2014, 13’) Dir. Andrzej Cichocki
  • Friday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. – STONES FOR THE RAMPART (2014, 107’). Dir. Robert Glinski. Preceded by a short animation THE INCREDIBLY ELASTIC MAN (2013, 5′) Dir. Karolina Specht
  • Saturday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m. – WALESA: MAN OF HOPE (2013, 127’). Dir. Andrzej Wajda. Preceded by a short animation HIPOPOTAMY (2014, 12′) Dir. PIOTR DUMAŁA
  • Sunday, November 16 at 3:00 p.m. – LIFE FEELS GOOD (2013, 112’). Dir. Maciej Pieprzyca. Preceded by a short animation TO THY HEART (2013, 10’) Dir. Ewa Borysewicz

Tickets are $10 general admission, $5 for students and senior citizens. Tickets will be available at the door.
