Nearly 70 Canisius College employees were recognized for their five, 10 and 15–year service anniversaries in the Montante Cultural Center today during the annual Service Recognition Ceremony. Combined, these faculty members, staff and administrators have contributed more than 650 years of service to the college.
Family members, friends and members of the Canisius community gathered for the celebration. Campus Minister Rev. James L. Dugan, S.J., gave the invocation. William M. Collins, vice president for advancement, assisted President John J. Hurley in the presentation of the awards. The event also included a performance by Cantio Sacra.
Anna Jones, executive associate to the vice president for institutional advancement, was honored for 15 years of service to the college; and Rachel L. Flammer, director of stewardship, was recognized for 10 years of service.
This is the 14th year the college has held the Service Recognition Ceremony to commemorate significant milestones in employee service. In the spring, Canisius recognizes employees who have reached 20 or more years of service, as well as retirees.

Peter Boehm, PhD, associate professor of modern languages, literature, and cultures, was recognized for 15 years of service to the college.
Sean T. Joseph, Tim Horton’s cashier for Chartwell’s Dining Services; and Melissa S. Hyde. Tim Horton’s manager for Chartwell’s Dining Services, both celebrated five years of service.
Rev. James M. Pribek, SJ, associate professor of English, was honored for 10 years of service to the college.
Susan W. Margulis, PhD, associate professor of biology, was recognized for five years of service.
Mollie A. Ballaro, director of undergraduate admissions, was recognized for 10 years of service.
Laura A. McEwen, assistant dean for the Wehle School of Business, celebrated 15 years of service to the college.
Julie A. Zulewski, director of graduate admissions, was honored for five years of service to the college.
Donnee C. Hill, tutor for the Talent Search Program, celebrated five years of service to the college.
