Tickets for the first Buffalo Humanities Festival are now on sale!

With the theme “Migration Nation: Moving Stories,” the festival uses the humanities and arts to explore migration and immigration in a lively setting. Canisius is cooperating with other local institutions to sponsor the event, which will feature presentations by Eileen Angelini of modern languages and Steven Maddox of the History Department.

Monday, September 22, 7:30-9:30 p.m.: Humanities Festival Book Group. Discussion of Gary Shteyngart’s Little Failure led by Joseph Conte (UB, English) at Betty’s Restaurant.

Friday, September 26, 8:00 p.m.: Gary Shteyngart at the Albright-Knox. Reading, on-stage interview with David Schmid (UB, English), and book-signing. VIP reception with the author at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 27, 10:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.: Humanities Festival, Burchfield Penney and Buffalo State College. Talks, music, conversations, films and food. Order your daypass by Wednesday, September 24 and receive a free lunch from the West Side Bazaar.
