If you weren’t able to attend the President’s Convocation on Thursday, September 4, it’s now available to watch online.

The President’s Convocation traditionally marks the start of a new academic year. It’s an opportunity for President Hurley to outline his priorities for Canisius in the year ahead, as well as his long-term goals for the college’s future.

During his address, President Hurley spoke about the external forces at work in higher education and where he foresees these changes taking Canisius. He then spoke about three key strategic moves (a redefinition of the student-centered university, academic revitalization and an innovative business model), which will enable Canisius “to become one of the true innovators in American higher education.”

In addition to the convocation video, a full transcript of President Hurley’s state-of-the-college address is available to read: Convocation Address 2014 Final. Comments and questions may be submitted here.
