Canisius College Corporate Challenge Team

The 2013 JPMorgan Corporate Challenge is scheduled for Thursday, June 6. All faculty and staff, whether or not they are experienced racers, joggers or walkers are invited to join the Canisius College Corporate Challenge Team.

The 3.5 mile course begins and ends at Delaware Park. Starting time is 6:45 p.m.

The Canisius College hospitality tent opens at 5:00 p.m. and Chartwells will provide refreshments before and after the race.

Entry fee includes race registration, refreshments, JP Morgan Corporate Challenge shirt & virtual goody bag. Prices include:

  • Canisius employees – $20
  • Non-employees guests – $37
  • Attending hospitality tent only – $7

A custom Canisius College Corporate Challenge Team TECHNICAL SHIRT will be given to the first 30 people to register.

iBook Authoring and iTunes University Seminar on Campus

During the Canisius College Digital Days conference in March 2013, Apple offered a well-received pair of sessions on Content Creation using iBooks Author to create ePub materials and iTunes U for course distribution. We are proud to once again to offer an extended version of these workshops on Tuesday, May 14 in Science Hall Room # 1008. The first session on Content Creation using iBooks Author will be from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. The second session on iTunes University will be from 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

This will be a hands-on seminar with projects that you can build using your own course material or material you’d just like to see in a digital book format. Additional instructions can be found on the registration pages below. You can attend one or the other or both depending on your goals.

  • USB iPad cable
  • Apple ID
  • Content
(on a flash drive or CD disk)
  • Papers, PDFs, URLs to related content, Keynote and/or PowerPoint presentations, Excel and/or Numbers Spreadsheets, Word and/or, Pages documents, Syllabus, eBooks, App lists, images, course descriptions and/or overviews, notes for specific courses, outlines, collaborative data from faculty you are working with, or any other digital content that is useful for yourself and/or students.
