The annual Pink Zone game highlights a busy weekend of action for the Golden Griffin women’s basketball squad.
Canisius hosts Iona Friday (February 18) at 7 p.m. and then meets Rider at 2 p.m. on Sunday (February 20). Iona currently resides one game ahead of the Griffs in the MAAC standings, while Rider is one game behind.
Friday’s game is Pink Zone presented by WNY Breast Health. The first 150 women in attendance will receive a complimentary pink, knit cap made by New Era. The Canisius women will wear pink shoelaces and a pink sneaker will be passed through the audience to collect money to battle breast cancer. Fans are encouraged to wear pink, along with their blue and gold.
