MAAC Swim, Dive Championships Coming To Buffalo

Looking to watch some exciting conference championship action?  Stop by the Flickinger Center in downtown Buffalo this week to watch the Golden Griffin men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams compete in the Metro Atlantic Atheltic Conference Championships.

The event is being held in Buffalo for the first time ever and runs this Thursday, Friday and Saturday (February 17-19).  Morning sessions commence each day at 10 a.m., while evening sessions begin at 6 p.m.  Golden Griffins to watch in the pool include Steve Pochatko, Shawn Parkhurst, Matt Moessinger, Randall Snodgrass and Tyler Carver on the men’s side, while Anna Schena, Kelli Graber, Amina Benman and Kara Powalksi lead the women’s contingent.

Updated results and live video can be viewed at www.maacsports.com.  For the Canisius angle, go to www.gogriffs.com.  Tickets may be purchased in advance at the MAAC web site or the day of the event at the Flickinger Center.  Although tickets are still available, this event has sold out in the past.
