The Canisius hockey team gets involved in the Battle of the Bridge series this week with a pair of games against the Niagara Purple Eagles. On Thursday (February 17), the Griffs host the Purple Eagles at 7 p.m. at the Buffalo State Ice Arena and then travel to Lewiston for a 7 p.m. game Saturday (February 19).
Thursday’s game is presented by Just Pizza with free slices available and it also an awareness initiative for Juvenile Diabetes (JD). The Griffs Cory Conacher (pictured) and Niagara’s David Ross have JD. A ceremonial puck drop will be held before the game featuring the two players along with local youths.
