In honor of Valentine’s Day, Canisius College Composer-in-Residence Persis Parshall Vehar will present a lecture entitled “Musical Aspects of Love” today (February 17) 2:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.  This lecture will include various kinds of love that inspire composers.  Vehar will illustrate the different types by playing her own music based on love.  She will also talk about the initial emotional spark behind the work and how the music is developed from it.  Admission is free and open to the public.
