Faculty and staff are invited to join the Digital Mind Quest, a reading group designed to increase awareness of the technological advances and current issues in higher education.  This brown bag lunch series, sponsored by Center for Teaching Excellence and the FacTS Center, will discuss the impact technology has on the classroom and analyze all sides of various topics and participate in lively discussions.

All resources needed for the Mind Quest will be provided electronically. Readings are short and it is encouraged that participants share resources of their own with the group.  This will be a learning experience for all who participate.

Digital Mind Quest will meet once a month at noon in February, March and April.  Light refreshments will be served.  The dates and  topics for this semester are:

  • Thursday, February 17: What’s social media and should I use it in my classroom?
  • Wednesday, March 16: To wiki or not to wiki: creating a student driven information warehouse
  • Wednesday, April 20: Ethics in the classroom face-to-face and online
