Rivalry Week begins Friday (February 11) when the Canisius ice hockey team travels to Rochester to take on long-time nemesis, RIT.  Game time is 7 p.m. and a few tickets are available by calling the Canisius ticket office at Ext. 2885.

That game kicks off an eight-day period where the Griffin hockey, basketball and swim teams encounter their fiercest and most passionate rivals.  The hockey team returns home on Sunday, February 13 to finish the RIT series with a 4 p.m. game against the Tigers.  Those two hockey battles sandwich the first of six meetings against Niagara over the week-long span.  The women’s basketball team will travel to Niagara University to meet the Purple Eagles Saturday (February 12) at 2 p.m.  That game will represent the first two of 10 “Battle of the Bridge” points up for grabs during the week.

Also included is the men’s basketball game at Niagara on February 16, a home and home hockey series with the Purple Eagles on February 17 and 19, and the MAAC Swim and Diving championships at the ECC Flickinger Center February 17 – 19.

For tickets to all of these events, contact the Canisius ticket office or click on www.gogriffs.com for more information.
