Jay Matthews, French hornist with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO), will start off this semester’s Informally Formal Chamber Recital Series on Tuesday (February 8) at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. The program features Mozart’s Horn Quintet, K 407, Brahms’ Trio for French horn, violin and piano and a work composed by Matthew’s father. He will be joined by BPO musicians Ansgarius Aylward, violin; Janz Castelo and Kate Holzemer, viola; Robert Hausmann, cello; and Claudia Hoca, piano.
