To encourage cultural exchanges and communication, the Office of International Student Programs sponsors a host family program which pairs international students with American families from the Canisius community.
Host families include the international students in family events, activities, and holiday celebrations. Families are encouraged to contact and invite their students to family outings at least once per month. Students do not live with their host family. The response of students wishing to participate in this program has been enthusiastic this semester. The program needs willing volunteers to help international student adapt to and learn about American culture.
