Tuition Exchange Information Needed By November 1

If any faculty or staff have a dependent that will apply for tuition exchange to attend another college or university starting Fall 2011, please Email Sean Hudson in the Office of Financial Aid with the following information by November 1, 2010:

  • Dependent’s full name
  • Last four digits of dependant’s social security number
  • Dependent’s home phone number
  • Dependent’s permanent address
  • Employee name
  • Number of years of full-time employment at Canisius
  • Grade level of student at the beginning of the Fall 2011 semester (Freshman, Sophomore, etc)
  • Full names of the schools to have certifications sent to.

League-Leading Griffs Volleyball Team Hosts Pair

Fresh off an impressive road sweep at Siena and Marist, the Canisius volleyball team hosts a pair of conference games this weekend at the Koessler Athletic Center.  Canisius will meet Loyola, MD at 2 p.m. on Saturday (September 25) and battle Rider at 2 p.m. Sunday (September 26).  There is no admission charge for home volleyball games.

Sophomore Emily Elek (Wescosville, PA) was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday.  Elek, who redshirted the 2009 season with a knee injury, is the second Golden Griffin to win a weekly award this season as sophomore Samantha Good (pictured) was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Week twice this season.

Also, the men’s and women’s cross country teams will host the annual Little Three meet on Saturday (September 25) at 2 p.m. in Delaware Park.

Meet-the-Faculty Recital Monday (September 27)

The first Noon-time Meet-the-Faculty recital of the 2010-2011 ArtsCanisius Season is Monday (September 27) in the Montante Cultural Center.  The performance features Jane Cary, harpsichordist and director of music at Canisius, and violinist Ansgarius Aylward, director of the Canisius College Chamber Orchestra and assistant concertmaster with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.  The recital features works by Bach, Handel, Mozart and Vivaldi and should be a great way to spend a lunch hour.  For more information, click here.
