All faculty and staff are invited to the fall faculty meeting tomorrow (September 22) in the Grupp Fireside Lounge.  Refreshments will be served starting at 3 p.m. with the program beginning at 3:15 p.m.  Scott A. Chadwick, PhD, vice president for academic affairs, will address the state of academic affairs.  Time for questions and answers will follow.

Brief presentations will be given by Jonathan Lawrence, PhD, associate professor of religious studies & theology; Kris Kasbohm, associate director of the Library for access; and Leah MacVie, instructional designer, ITS.  Break-out discussions will be on information literacy with an emphasis on what it is, why it is important, how student skills in information literacy can be introduced and reinforced at many points throughout the core curriculum and majors, and what kinds of in-class activities and assignments can be used to help students develop and demonstrate those skills.
