Rev. Paul J. Dugan, S.J. blesses the new shuttle bus on Friday, September 3 in the Loyola Hall parking lot. A new public safety car was also blessed during the ceremony which is meant to bless both the vehicle and the officers who drive it. Fr. Dugan blesses all parts of the vehicles including the motors, brakes and other safety features. In 2001, Fr. Dugan was named the first public safety chaplin and since then, the event has been an annual tradition for all cars put into public service.
