The campus events to support the “Check Yo Nutz” testicular cancer awareness campaign, created by Canisius students, begin today. The campaign promotes testicular self-examination for men ages 15 – 40, through clear, informative, accurate, relatable and humorous messages.

Sammy the Squirrel, the campaign’s mascot, will be on hand in Bart Mitchell Quad today from 11 am – 2 pm to hand out information about testicular cancer.

Additional upcoming events include:

“Dodge These Balls, Not Yours” on Tuesday, April 27 from 6 – 10 p.m. in the Koessler Athletic Center. Students, faculty and staff are invited to compete in a dodgeball tournament to support the campaign.

“The Check Now Luau” on Friday, April 30 from 6 – 11 p.m. in the Koessler Athletic Center. Students, faculty and staff are invited to dance to a luau theme. This event is sponsored by Main Urology Associates, P.C.
