Baseball Headed To MAAC Championship This Week

Ian Choy was named a 1st Team Academic All-American on Tuesday

The Golden Griffin baseball team will take the field as the top seed in this year’s MAAC Tournament.  The Griffs commence play today (May 26) at 3 p.m. against fourth seed Manhattan, while second seeded Marist meets Rider at 7 p.m.  The double elimination tournament continues with games at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday (May 27) and Friday (May 28) with a possible game at 1 p.m. on Saturday (May 29).  For up-to-date information on the Griffs progress, click on either www.gogriffs.com or www.maacsports.com.  Games can also viewed on the Web at the MAAC website.

Discount For 2010 Alumni Reunion Quad Party

The biggest Alumni party of the year is just around the corner, and the Office of Alumni Relations invites Canisius faculty and staff to join in the festivities!

Archives & Special Collections Summer Hours

The Canisius College Archives and Special Collections will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays from Monday, June 7 until Tuesday, August 24.  In the same time period, the Archives will maintain regular hours on Wednesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., and be open to the public by appointment only.

Archives will use this time to inventory and process collections in anticipation of a fully-accessible electronic catalog.  The office will respond to telephone messages and Email reference within 24 hours of receipt (messages from the Canisius community will take priority).  All other messages will be handled in order of receipt.

Summer Is A Great Time To Prepare For The Spiritual Exercises

The Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life (SEEL) begin in September and the summer months are a great time to prepare.  Rev. Tom Colgan, S.J. in the Office of Campus Ministry is available to help all faculty and staff begin this journey.  Those who are interested in this program should contact Father Colgan this week, since he will be gone from June 2 until August 17.  For more detailed information, click here.
