On-line Course Evaluation Experts To Respond To Questions

On Monday, April 19, at Noon in the Library Instruction Room, two leading on-line course evaluation firms (Online Course Evaluations and Academic Management Systems) will speak to Canisius faculty about concerns regarding on-line evaluations.  These companies will speak about what they have seen among their many customers, many of whom had concerns similar to Canisius faculty before adoption of on-line processes.

Eighth Annual Human Rights Conference Next Week

The Eighth Annual Human Rights Conference will be held April 19-21 in Grupp Fireside Lounge.  Proceedings will begin at 7 p.m. each night.  Faculty and staff, as well as students and the public, are invited to attend.

Allida Black, PhD Carl Wilkens

On Monday April 19, Allida Black, PhD, project director and editor of The Eleanor Roosevelt Papers and research professor of history and international affairs at The George Washington University, will speak about the creation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Eleanor Roosevelt’s integral role in that process.

On Tuesday April 20, humanitarian aid worker Carl Wilkens will speak about his experiences as a witness to the Rwandan genocide of 1994.  His stories about people helping to protect each other in the face of horrific violence have inspired many audiences around the world.

On Wednesday April 21, several students will give brief presentations on a variety of subjects.

The Eighth Annual Human Rights Conference is co-sponsored by the International Affairs Society and the Canisius College chapter of Amnesty International.  Please join us for part or all of the proceedings!
