The faculty and staff of the Institute for Classical and Medieval Studies will showcase some favorite items from their personal collections in a one-day mini-exhibition. These items hold personal meaning to the donors and we want to share them with the Canisius community.
Visit our display in the library, next to the reception desk, on Tuesday, November 16th, between 10:00 a.m and 2:00 p.m.

ArtsCanisius and the Institute of Classical and Medieval Studies present the professional debut of the musical trio Pavana. Join us for an evening of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music in the Montante Cultural Center on Tuesday, November 9, at 7:00 p.m.
All in-person attendees must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Donations are being requested at the door to continue to bring events like this to the community.

The Institute for Classical and Medieval Studies introduces the ICMS Book Club. Part of its lunchtime Brown Bag Seminar series, the book club will introduce and review fiction and non-fiction books relevant to the ICMS’s fields of interest.
On Thursday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m. in OM 418, we will look at Dan Jones’ The Templars: The Rise & Spectacular Fall of God’s Holy Warriors (2017). These sessions are non-scholarly, informal and relaxed, and are free and open to the public. No prior reading of the book is required. No prior knowledge of the subject is needed. Masks are required for in-person attendees or join us over Facebook Live. Bring your lunch and join the conversation.

Tea@2 held its first gathering on Friday, September 3. The event was moved online last year because of Covid-19 protocols. This year, Tea@2 is switching to a hybrid format for fall 2021. We will meet in the ICMS Reading Room in OM 418 at 2:00 p.m., or interested participants can Email us at ICMS@canisius.edu to receive the ZOOM invitation.
