Middle States Commission on Higher Education Self-Study Campus Forum

Faculty and staff are invited to attend a campus forum to discuss the MSCHE self-study draft and learn about next steps in the accreditation process. The forum will take place on Nov. 22 from 3-4 p.m. in the Student Center Regis Room. Faculty and staff logged into the portal may access the self-study draft here.

The Upsilon Gamma Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi is an Education Honor Society established in 1994 at Canisius University. Members of this International Honor Society in Education include the top 10 percent of college students enrolled in teacher education programs, university faculty, classroom teachers, school administrators and National State Teachers of the Year.

Membership in Kappa Delta Pi is by invitation only. Those individuals nominated for membership must exhibit the ideals of scholarship, high standards and promise in teaching and its allied professions. These invitations are only extended to those junior and senior education majors who have obtained an overall QPA of 3.25 and sophomores with a 3.65.

Kappa Delta Pi Initiation

The Upsilon Gamma Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an education honor society, recently recognized current and new KDP inductees.  A total of 15 students participated in the ceremony with 10 new honorees inducted at the KDP Induction Ceremony on Saturday, April 30, 2022. 

KDP is the champion for future and new teachers from campus to classroom. KDP is a reliable and research-based resource of best practices for teaching, and delivers guidance and solutions to the particular issues facing teachers across the United States, while maintaining a global perspective.
