Always check to make sure that a web page is secure before entering any personal information such as a user name or password. A page is secure if the address in the location bar starts with “https”, and if the padlock icon appears in the lower corner of the browser window. If a page does not meet these requirements, it’s possible for someone to intercept the inputed data and use it for nefarious purposes.
