Educational Technology Lab Grand Opening Today (October 15)

The School of Education and Human Services will host a reception to celebrate the completion of the new Educational Technology Lab today (October 15) from 2 – 3 p.m. in Old Main 414.

A brief demonstration of the labs SMART technology will be provided followed by a short program to acknowledge the many people who contributed to the lab’s construction.  Refreshments will be served.  Please RSVP to Mary Ann Neil at Ext. 3751 or via Email neil2@canisius.edu.

Cyber Security Tip Of The Day

Faculty and staff who have sensitive information of any kind on a notebook computer should contact ITS to have the data encrypted.  Encryption allows ITS to “scramble” the contents of the computer’s hard disk, making it unreadable without the proper passphrase.  If the computer is lost, stolen, or damaged, the data will be inaccessible to anyone who tries to read it.
