Portrait of Nicholas and Alice Roosevelt Longworth, Roosevelt Estate Garden, Skaneateles, NY is shown through Wednesday, September 7, at the ALB Library in the Peter and Mary Lou Vogt Art Gallery (first floor). The gallery is open during regular library hours: https://library.canisius.edu/hours

Samuel M. Roosevelt, an internationally known 19th – early 20th century portrait artist and cousin to President Theodore Roosevelt, painted this canvas of the president’s daughter and son-in-law in the mid-1920s.

Thomas C. Mack ’61 Esq. donated the painting to the college in 1995.
