On Monday, November 30 at 7:00 p.m., in Old Main Room 314, the Canisius College Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, he Fitzpatrick Institute, USA Diversity, embraceWNY and UNITY will co-host author Christopher Bram, who will be reading “How Do We Talk About Slavery” from his forthcoming book The Art of History, which will be published in 2016.

Bram is the author of nine novels, including the book that became the Academy-Award winning movie Gods and Monsters, starring Ian McKellen and Brendan Fraser. His most recent book is a literary history, Eminent Outlaws: The Gay Writers Who Changed America. He lives with his partner, Draper Shreeve, in New York City and teaches nonfiction writing at the Gallatin School of New York University.
