Buffalo News Reporter David Robinson interviewed Julie Anna Golebiewski for a November 17 story titled “Why This Sluggish Rebound in Hiring Isn’t as Painful for the Buffalo Niagara Region.” The associate professor of economics/finance weighed in on how companies are unable to fill their open jobs and, as a result, compensating by having employees put in longer hours increasing paychecks.

The Dome Goes on Break for Thanksgiving Holiday

Just a friendly reminder that due to the Thanksgiving holiday, The Dome will not publish this Friday, November 24 or Monday, November 27. The employee E-letter will resume its regular schedule on Wednesday, November 29. All submissions must be received by 2:00 p.m. on the day prior to publication.

Town Hall on Racial Equity Plan

The Division of Academic Affairs is hosting a Town Hall to provide updates on its progress toward the university’s five-year Racial Equity Plan.

The event will take place on Thursday, November 30, from 2:30-3:30 p.m., in the Regis Room of the Richard E. Winter Student Center.  It is open all members of the Canisius University community.

ITS Database Maintenance Scheduled

ITS will be performing a database updates Saturday November 25, 2023 from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. During this maintenance window, most administrative software such as Banner, Self Service Banner (SSB), Griff Audits, reports (Infoview) and all custom Canisius Web Applications (iAdvise, budget management, timeclock, new student checklist, etc.) will be unavailable.

The ITS systems status page, found in dark blue top section of the portal, will be updated accordingly.
