Supporting Student Excellence Workshop

Bring your lunch and spend some time learning how best to advise with an eye towards supporting student excellence.

This latest workshop, hosted by the Office of Academic Affairs, is scheduled for Tuesday, January 21 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. in the Library Conference Room.  The agenda is as follows:

W-2 Electronic Enrollment

If you are still receiving a paper copy of your W-2, please consider receiving it electronically.

Login to Self Service Banner, click on “Employee,” “Tax forms,” then “Electronic W-2 and 1095C consent” and check the box for “Consent to receive W-2 electronically” and “Submit.” Your consent is needed only once.  Afterwards, you’ll be able to access your W-2 each year, as soon as it is processed in payroll.

You can print your W-2 about one week before the paper mailing date of January 31.  To do this, login to Self Service Banner, click on “Employee,” “Tax forms,” then “W-2 year end earning statement.”  Select the year you want and click on “Display”and print.

You will also have access to all of your prior W-2s.

Call for Nominations

The Office of Alumni Engagement is seeking nominations for the 2020 Distinguished Senior Award and the Distinguished Faculty Award.

The Distinguished Senior Award is presented to seniors who have distinguished themselves through leadership roles and involvement with the college. Nominees must be in good academic standing.

The Distinguished Faculty Award recognizes outstanding faculty members of Canisius College. The faculty member must be full-time and have served in that capacity at the college for at least three years, and be distinguished for contributions to the academic world and teaching excellence.

Nominate a Senior for ALANA Achievement Award

The time has come to nominate a deserving ALANA senior for the ALANA Achievement Award, presented annually during Spring Honors Convocation.

The ALANA Achievement Award acknowledges the accomplishments of an African American, Latinx American, Asian American or Native American (ALANA) graduating senior who exemplifies the Jesuit value of magis through academic excellence, exceptional leadership, character, dedication and service to Canisius and the community-at-large.

Nominations can be submitted by clicking here, and are due by Thursday, February 27.
