Nearly 40 Canisius alumni and friends took a walk on the wild side during a men’s baseball fundraiser in Jupiter, FL.  Head men’s baseball coach Matt Mazurek ’07 and Dan Warner, major gift officer, organized the highly-successful event on January 13, 2018, which included a cocktail party and close-up encounters with animals from the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary.

Coach Mazurek addressed the crowd, sharing his plans for the new direction of Canisius’ championship caliber baseball team.  Several professional baseball coaches and players who train in the Jupiter area were in attendance and met with Coach Mazurek, including Logan Morrison, current free agent and first baseman for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2017, Olie Marmol, current first base coach of the St. Louis Cardinals and Brandon Kaplan, co-founder of Cressey Sports Performance Florida and general manager of FTB Rockets Baseball.
