Woo-Hoo! The Bills Made the Playoffs!

The Buffalo Bills ended their 17-year playoff drought this past weekend with a 22-16 victory at Miami and Cincinnati’s victory at Baltimore and fans have been celebrating ever since. Let’s continue the celebration on campus by wearing Bills gear this Friday, January 5. Feel free to wear jeans and your favorite Bills jerseys, sweatshirts and t-shirts to show your pride and support the team.

The Bills take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, January 7 at 1:05 pm.

Lodi-Smith Co-Authors Book on Self-Concept Clarity

Jennifer Lodi-Smith, PhD, associate professor of psychology, is co-author of Self-Concept Clarity: Perspectives on Assessment, Research, and Applications (Springer, 2018).   In the book, Lodi-Smith, along with her co-author Kenneth G. DeMarree, PhD, defines what self-concept clarity is, explains how it is measured and examines what makes it a core marker of  healthy adult functioning.

Adjunct Faculty Information Session

Academic Affairs hosts event January 8

The Academic Affairs Office hosts an Adjunct Faculty Information Session on Monday, January 8 at 5:30 p.m. in Old Main 119.  Refreshments will be served.

The orientation includes information from human resources, services available on campus, teaching for mission at a Jesuit college, and an introduction to the tools supported by the Center for Online Learning and Innovation (COLI), including the use of D2L, our course management software.  This event is not mandatory, however you will learn things that can save you time and effort.  This session benefits adjunct professors new to Canisius College as well as those who have previously taught at Canisius.  Please RSVP to Kathy Peter at peter@canisius.edu or at 888-2121.
