Welcome back from the Media Center! We hope everyone has had a great start to the fall ’16 semester!

New ITC Computers
User Services installed new, smaller footprint PCs in 40 classrooms on campus.

The power button is located on the front of the computer on the right-hand side. Please note that these computers do not have an optical drive for DVD playback. If you need to play a video DVD you can use the room’s DVD or Blu-ray player.

If you need to access files off a DVD in class, you can arrange for use of a portable optical drive by calling the ITS Help Desk at Ext. 8340. Staff can also provide assistance outside of class time with moving files off a disc to D2L, Google Drive, etc. so faculty can access the files without needing to use a portable optical drive.

Guide to Media Services Updated
Trying to find out which department provides which media-related service? A great place to start looking for these answers is the Guide to Media Services. This section of the Media Center’s portal community provides an overview of services provided by a variety of departments on campus.

Classroom Upgrades
Information on upgraded classrooms for the Fall ’16 semester will be coming soon to “The Dome”.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns about instructional technology in the classroom or would like to schedule training, please feel free to contact Bob Grabowski (Ext. 3278) or Dan Drew (Ext. 2569).
