Buffalo Humanities Festival Coming Soon!

As you make plans for the fall semester, please consider including the Buffalo Humanities Festival from Wednesday, September 23 to Saturday, September 26 as an element of your course or as an activity for student groups.

Two of our faculty, Janet McNally, assistant professor from the English department and Jonathan David Lawrence, PhD, associate professor from the religious studies and theology department, will present their work at the all-day festival on Saturday the 26th.

This year’s theme is “Gender Bender.” Festival participants will interrogate the traditional binaries of male/female and gay/straight with talks, performances, music and a drag break. A full schedule and more information can be found at: http://buffalohumanities.org.

Qualtrics to Replace Checkbox

As of Wednesday, September 30, Checkbox, Canisius College’s dedicated online survey application, is being replaced by Qualtrics, a powerful survey tool that is easier to use.

Checkbox users need to export and archive their Checkbox data to another location by that time.

You can access Qualtrics by going to canisius.qualtrics.com and logging in using your Canisius username and password. The Office of Learning & Innovation (FacTS Center) will run workshops during the fall to help users get up and running in Qualtrics. For links to text and video tutorials, and our workshop signup sheet, go to canisius.edu/surveys.

Please contact Mark Gallimore at Ext. 8353 with questions or further information regarding these survey tools.
