Canisius College Presents Sheri Holman

On Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in Regis South.

Sheri Holman is the author of four award-winning and bestselling novels including The Dress Lodger, a New York Times Notable Book; The Mammoth Cheese, named a Publisher’s Weekly and San Francisco Chronicle Book of the Year, and most recently, Witches on the Road Tonight which won the 2011 Shirley Jackson Award for Best Novel.

Event is free and open to the public.

Reception for Ed Cogan

The campus is invited to attend a reception for Ed Cogan to wish him well in his much deserved retirement. Feel free to stop by on Thursday, November 29th from 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. in BA-06 across from the Facilities Office where, coffee and cake will be served.

Student Ensemble Performances

Our students have worked hard all semester and are ready to perform their end-of-semester ensemble concerts! Performances are this Friday, November 30, Saturday, December 1 and Monday, December 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.
Friday’s performance features the Canisius College Concert Band, under the direction of Paul Biddle, Canisius College Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dave Schiavone. The Canisius College Chorale will perform on Saturday, under the direction of Frank Scinta. On Monday, December 3  the performance features the Canisius College Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Ansgarius Aylward.

SMART Board User’s Group

A SMART Board User’s Group meeting will be held on Friday, November 30 in SH1017 conference room from 12:00-1:00 PM. The purpose of this group is to share ideas and learn new integration strategies for using the SMART Board in the classroom. If you don’t use a SMART Board but are interested in learning more, please feel free to attend. Each meeting a tip or trick for using SMART Boards will be shared. This meeting will highlight features of SMART Recorder and the Magic Pen.
