Huge Hoops DH on Tap for Saturday afternoon

The Canisius College men’s and women’s basketball teams host a mega-hoops twin bill on Saturday afternoon. As of Wednesday morning, all tickets had been sold, which marks the earliest sell-out of the KAC in more than 10 years.

For fans who missed out on purchasing tickets, there is a chance that a small allotment of tickets could be returned on Friday morning. If so, those tickets would go on sale at 1 pm on Friday afternoon.

The afternoon tips-off when the women’s team hosts Bucknell at 1:30 pm and the men’s game against St. Bonaventure is scheduled to begin at 4 pm. The women’s team will enter Saturday’s play with a 1-1 mark, while the men are 1-0 after their triumph Monday night over Boston University.

For additional information, visit gogriffs.com or call 716-888-2885.

Also, tickets do remain for Tuesday night’s doubleheader when the women meet Oakland at 5:30 pm and the men battle the U/B Bulls at 8 pm.

Anderson’s Family Skate Scheduled

Looking for a little family time over the Thanksgiving holiday? How about a fun activity that costs you nothing and provides everyone with some exercise and free ice cream!

It’s the Athletic Department’s annual Anderson’s Family Skate where all faculty, staff and college adminstrators are invited to watch the Canisius hockey team at no charge and then get free ice time.  We cover the skate rentals (if needed) and serve Anderson’s ice cream at the end of the day.

On Saturday, November 24, your Griffs host Atlantic Hockey rival AIC at 4 pm at the Buffalo State Sports Arena. Immediately after the game, the ice is open to everyone. And, best of all, the Griffs will join everyone on the ice for the free skate.

Tickets are available in advance at the Koessler ticket office or the night of the game when you show your valid Canisius ID. For more information, call 888-2885 or 888-2977.
