Local Imam to Visit Canisius

Canisius College is pleased to announce that Imam Nazim Mangera, a prominent local Muslim cleric, will come to campus on Wednesday, March 7, Noon – 1 p.m., in the Faculty Dining Room in the Student Center (next to the cafeteria). A free buffet lunch will be served as we learn from a widely traveled expert on Islam. There will be no speeches, just informal remarks, followed by Q&A. 2012 Celebration of Service

The college takes pride in the commitment of its faculty, administration and staff and will recognize those individuals who have reached 20, 25, 30 and 35 or more years of service at the annual Celebration of Service ceremony on Friday, April 27 at 3 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. Canisius is the excellent institution it is today because these colleagues have given of their time and talents over the years. This event is a way to celebrate their success and achievements and to honor them, as well those who will be retiring from the college this year. Click here to view list of 2012 honorees.
