All Invited To Spring Faculty Meeting

All faculty and staff are invited to the spring faculty meeting today (March 29) in the Grupp Fireside Lounge. Refreshments will be served starting at 3 p.m. with the program beginning at 3:15 p.m. Richard A. Wall, PhD, vice president for academic affairs, will address the state of academic affairs and answer questions.

Canisius Hosts NYS Science Olympiad This Weekend

Canisius College will host the New York State Science Olympiad on Friday, March 30 – Saturday, March 31. The visual events are open to the public and will take place on Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Koessler Athletic Center.

More than 900 students from NYS high schools will participate in the team science competition. Approximately 50 students and faculty from Canisius College will serve as hosts and greeters for the event. In addition, three Canisius faculty members will present to the Science Olympiad participants on Saturday, between 4 -5:15 p.m., in the KAC gymnasium – this is also open to the public. These presentations are:

  • “Exploring the Killer Whale Mind” – Michael Noonan, PhD
  •  “Game Development: The Convergence of Technology and Art” – PJ Moskal and Jamie O’Neil
