Learn About The New York State Dream Act

All are invited to visit the tables in front of the dining hall today (March 5) – Wednesday, March 7, between 11 a.m. – 1p.m. as Campus Ministry educates the campus about the New York State DREAM Act. This important piece of legislation, modeled after the national DREAM Act, would provide an opportunity for undocumented youth to fulfill their dreams with a college education. The DREAM Act provides students with a pathway to higher education through in-state tuition, grants and scholarships.

Exciting News On Mobility Front

Jon Landis, a great educator and speaker on mobility and pedagogy and how it is transforming the education landscape, will present a lecture entitled “Mobility & eBooks in Today’s Classroom” on Thursday, March 8 at 1 p.m. in Regis Room South.

This presentation isn’t about trendy technology fads or the latest gadgets.  It’s about facing the challenges and maximizing the possibilities of a connected world.  Landis will address how technology is changing the educational landscape especially via mobile devices which have done more than shift the educational terrain – it’s blown up the bedrock.  Mobile pedagogy represents a fundamental shift in content access and the role of the traditional classroom.

To register or for more information on his lecture, click here.  A past lecture he has given can be found here.
