VP Chats Start Today (March 28)

Faculty and staff are invited to join Canisius vice presidents for open-style, informal chats on Wednesday, March 28 and Wednesday, April 25 in the Regis Room North from noon to 1 p.m.

Ellen Conley, vice president for student affairs; Craig Chindemi, vice president for institutional advancement; Patrick Richey, vice president for business and finance; and Richard Wall, interim vice president for academic affairs will be on hand to discuss topics important to you, and answer questions you may have about the state of the college.

Baseball Team Opens Six Game Homestand

The Golden Griffin baseball team opens a six-game homestand on Wednesday (March 28) when UB visits the Demske Sports Complex for a single game at 4 p.m.

The Griffs then host Rider in a big three game MAAC series over the weekend. Saturday’s twin bill is slated to start at 2 p.m, while Sunday’s single game features a 12 p.m first pitch. Both Canisius and Rider took two of their first three league games and are picked to finish first and second, respectively, in the MAAC.

The homestand concludes with a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Wednesday, April 4 against Cornell. It will be the first visit to the DSC for the Big Red since the mid-90’s.

W. Lax Begins Defense of MAAC Title

The Canisius College women’s lacrosse team begins defense of its 2011 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title with a league game versus Manhattan, this Saturday (March 31) at 11 a.m. The Griffs are coming off a challenging non-conference slate that featured the nationally-ranked Vanderbilt and Ohio State programs. The Griffs blasted St. Bonaventure in its last outing, 20-6.
