Stuart Fuchs, adjunct professor of guitar, will perform a recital entitled “A Brief History of the Ukulele: The Life and Times of a Four-Stringed Underdog” this Sunday (November 20) at 2:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.  The event is free and open to the public.

Fuchs (ukulele) will be joined by members of his Gypsy Jazz band, Babik in this dynamic performance. This concert/lecture of lively ukulele music ranges from its Portuguese and Hawaiian origins through the era of vaudeville and Tin Pan Alley, Jazz, Blues–even J.S.
