Employee Christmas Mass, Luncheon December 22

A Christmas Mass will be offered at 11:30 a.m. in Christ the King Chapel on Thursday, December 22, followed by the employee Christmas luncheon from Noon – 1:30 p.m. in the Peter Gust Economu Dining Hall.  Please take this time to visit with and enjoy the company of our college community as we come together to celebrate Christmas and the blessings of our friends and co-workers.

Canisius employees enjoy last year’s luncheon.

This year, in the spirit of giving, members of the Canisius community attending the events are asked to bring a non-perishable food item(s) to benefit Little Portion Friary in Buffalo.  Little Portion Friary is unique because they are 100 percent dependent upon donations and they receive no government assistance.  Drop off bins will be located in the Faculty Lounge from December 5-22, as well as in the dining hall during the Christmas luncheon.  Please help in any way that you can.

No RSVP is necessary and employees are released to begin their holiday immediately following the luncheon.  Happy Holidays!

There will be plenty of excitement off the court, as well.  The twin bill is the second of six WYRK Fan Slam events with Country Club members picking up valuable points towards a season ending prize.  It’s also Canisius Campers Night with all basketball campers receiving a free voucher for the game.  In addition, Catholic Health will celebrate their annual evening with the Griffs.  The games will be televised on a tape delay basis by Time Warner.

For additional information, visit www.gogriffs.com.

Also, as a reminder, the ticket office will be open December 22 for the doubleheader that evening and then open again at Noon on December 28.
