Winter Safety Tips For Navigating Parking Lots, Walkways

Please be mindful that college snowplows can’t stop or maneuver like cars.  Snowplows do unpredictable things like stopping, turning or even backing up, and the operators may have problems seeing pedestrians or other vehicles.  Always yield to college snowplows.

The Office of Facilities Management does a great job clearing lots and walks.  However, it takes a long time to do this so be patient when snow clearing equipment is in operation.  Also wear the proper foot gear, and take safe steps, especially when the walking surfaces contain snow or ice.
