The second step of the GrifFit wellness program, which features individual health screenings and assessments, will be conducted by the Independent Nurses Association today (November 15) from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Regis South and tomorrow (November 16) from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in KAC Room 201. Testing will include blood pressure, cholesterol, and BMI measurements, and all results are kept confidential. “Knowing your numbers” is an important tool for maintaining good health.
After the health screenings, faculty and staff who participate will receive information regarding the online health assessment. The health screening results are needed to complete the assessment.
To best serve everyone’s busy workday and ensure appropriate screening resources are available, appointments are encouraged by calling the Office of Human Resources at Ext. 2240. In order to provide the greatest flexibility and to encourage maximum participation, appointments can be approximate times. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Biometric and health assessment information is vital knowledge in building a path toward wellness. With 100 percent participation in GrifFit, Canisius will be on its way to creating a healthy and strong community.
