What does it take to develop an iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad app for education?  Learn how to make one from an Apple developer on May 19 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Lyons 122.  Lunch will be provided.

Rick Bettencourt, a system engineer at Apple on the Higher Education NE team, will present a coding/Q&A time seminar on the developer programs including information about the Software Developer Kits (SDKs), Objective C, iOS Patterns and the challenges people face as a first time developer on the iOS platform.  Those who are a web, java, c, c++ , c# developer, or those who just have a good idea for an app, are welcome to attend to learn what it will take to build an Apple app.

Bettencourt has 25 years experience as a software developer, concentrating on cross platform distributed applications and design.
