Hassett Reading With Colm Tóibín Tonight (April 8)

The Contemporary Writers Series welcomes acclaimed Irish author Colm Tóibín tonight ( April 8 ) at 7 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center for the Eighth Annual Hassett Reading. Tóibín will read from his works, followed by an audience question and answer period. Seating is limited. The evening, which is free and open to the public, concludes with a reception and book-signing.

César Cabrera Lecture April 12

César Cabrera, the western regional representative of the New York State Department of Labor, will speak Tuesday (April 12) at 6 p.m. in Regis Room South.  Cabrera will discuss “Latinos & Labor in the U.S.” including core values of ethics, social justice and equality in the context of labor issues in the Latino community and community involvement.  This lecture is sponsored by the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures & Cultures and Latin American Students & Friends (LASAF).  The event is free and open to the public.
