Canisius College assistant cross country coach Aileen Hoak was one of several success stories at Sunday’s Shoes for the Shelter 5K. Her winning time of 17:38 broke the course record for women by two seconds.
The event attracted over 650 registered runners and walkers. The number exceeded the event’s record by more than 150. Dan Giza won the race in a time of 15:36.
