Information Technology Services (ITS) announces upgrades for Mac users.
This year’s installment of the iLife suite features all new versions of iPhoto, Garage Band and iMovie with many new enhancements. Also included is iWeb and iDVD. Click here for details. All campus owned Macintosh computers are eligible for this free upgrade. Minimum system requirements for iLife ‘11: 2006 or newer Intel-based Mac running Mac OS 10.6.3 or greater, 5GB free disk space, 1GB RAM.
Microsoft Office 2011 finally brings Outlook to the Macintosh along with upgrades to Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Users will be able to interact with shared calendars and Email on par with the Windows Office version. Mac users will now share the ribbon bar interface as well as numerous other features. Minimum system requirements: 2006 or newer Intel-based Mac running Mac OS 10.5.6 or greater, 2.5 GB free disk space, 1 GB RAM.
