The Canisius College Chorale, under the direction of Frank Scinta, will “bring it home” to complete the group’s Western New York tour with a spring concert tomorrow (May 8) at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.  The performance is free and open to all.

Saturday’s concert will mark the tenth and final performance of the choir’s 2009-2010 season which saw the singers visit eight off-campus concert sites across the Niagara Frontier.  The program will feature works by Mendelssohn, Hogan, Bernstein, Carmichael, Hovland, Dawson and others.

Now in its 12th season, the Canisius College Chorale remains one of Western New York’s most active collegiate music ensembles.  Composed of one hundred undergraduate and graduate members, the Chorale regularly presents concert programs to school, church, and community audiences throughout Western New York and Southern Ontario.  The chorale releases its fourth CD recording in June 2010.
