Open Enrollment Meetings For Health Insurance

Human Resources will conduct open enrollment meetings for college sponsored health insurance plans in Old Main 221 on Wednesday (May 12) at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and again on Thursday (May 13) in Lyons Hall 118 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.  Independent Health will review the PPO, FlexFit and Encompass+ plans.

If you choose to change plans, your new enrollment form must be received by the Human Resources Office by June 1, 2010.

Final Periodic Review Report Forum This Week

TIAA CREF Representative On Campus

Bill Stark, individual consultant for TIAA CREF, will be on campus on Tuesday, May 18.  Faculty and staff will have the opportunity to meet with Bill to review and discuss current investments, ask questions and review options to help meet retirement goals.

MAAC Softball Championship At Canisius, KAC Parking Affected

Canisius College will host the MAAC Softball Championship this weekend as the league’s top four teams vie for the conference’s automatic entry into the NCAA Tournament.  First and second round games will be conducted on Thursday and Friday with the championship scheduled to be decided on Saturday in the double elimination event.

Pairings and seedings for the tournament are as follows:

Thursday, May 13
Game 1; #2 Iona vs. #3 Niagara; Noon
Game 2; #1 Canisius vs. #4 Manhattan; 2 p.m.

Friday, May 14
Game 3; Game 1 Winner vs. Game 2 Winner; 11 a.m.
Game 4; Game 1 Loser vs. Game 2 Loser; 1 p.m.
Game 5; Game 3 Loser vs. Game 4 Winner; 3 p.m.

Saturday, May 15
Game 6; Game 3 Winner vs. Game 5 Winner; Noon
Game 7; Game 3 Winner vs. Game 5 Winner (if necessary); 2 p.m.

Because this is a MAAC sponsored championship tournament, admission will be charged.  Cost for students is $3, while the adult price is $5 per day.  An all-session pass can be purchased for $12.  Tickets can be bought in advance by calling Ext. 2885.

The admission policy will also have an impact on parking.  The upper Koessler Athletic Center (KAC) lot will be closed from Wednesday evening through the conclusion of the tournament.  Entrance into the KAC will only be through the Main Street doors.
