Professional Development Opportunity: Canisius University Women’s Leadership Summit

The Canisius University Women’s Leadership Council is proud to announce the inaugural Women’s Leadership Summit,  “Joining One Another on the Journey,” taking place Friday, March 7, from noon-4:15p.m. in the Stranczek Commons in Science Hall. The Summit will include engaging speakers, thoughtful dialogue, and networking opportunities for all Women of Canisius. Highlights include:

  • Keynote by Keia Clarke ’03, CEO of the New York Liberty
  • Moderated Panel Discussion – “Junctures on the Journey”
  • 4 educational breakout sessions to choose from
  • Lunch, a relationship building reception, and access to women leaders of all backgrounds

Canisius University employees are invited to attend the event at a special discounted rate of just $25!

Advancement Promotions and Title Changes

The Office of Advancement is thrilled to announce the following promotions and title changes:

Brandon Bielecki ’15, MS ’19 – After one year serving as both the Director of the Canisius Fund and an Advancement Officer, Brandon is returning to a position fully focused on major gift fundraising as the Director of Advancement.

Dianna Civello – Dianna’s ‘Interim’ title has been removed and she is officially the Vice President for Advancement.

Katie Huck – Katie has been promoted from Advancement Researcher to Senior Director of Advancement Operations.

Jessica Mitrovits – Jessica has been promoted from Assistant Director to Director of the Canisius Fund.

The Office of Advancement would like to share a warm congratulations to our colleagues. We would also like to thank our campus partners for their continued collaboration and support.

Cabrini Film Screening and Reception

Celebrate International Women’s Day with the Women of Canisius!

Canisius University alumni and friends are invited to join the Women of Canisius as we celebrate International Women’s Day with a reception and screening of the film Cabrini.

Friday, March 8
International Women’s Day

5:30 p.m. – Casual reception at Mes Que
7:00 p.m. – Cabrini screening at North Park Theatre

$15 includes your film ticket, appetizers and cash bar at Mes Que!

Don’t forget to wear some Canisius apparel and show your Griff pride on International Women’s Day!
