The Permanent Chair of Polish Culture and the Borders & Migrations Initiative at Canisius University will host a screening of segments from Buffalo: City of Refuge. The documentary features interviews with local Polish emigres and is produced by Olga Mazurkiewicz & Z Collective. It includes reaction and commentary from a panel of emigres who have made Buffalo their home. They come from places like Rwanda, Ukraine, Myanmar and Kenya, among others.
The event is Wednesday, November 15 at 3:00 p.m. in the Learning Lab on the main floor or the Andrew L. Bouwhuis Library. It is free and open to the public with a reception to follow the screening.
